  1. Had to completely reconfigure system due to attempted scam

    Mark spent nearly 3 hours working on my system to bring it back to working order. Fortunately my wife and I discovered that the phone call we received from someone stating they were from our internet provider was a hoax call. However as we did not continue with their request they decided to be vindictive and did something to our system that prevented us from being connected to the internet. We contacted Mark who after many hours hard and frustrating phone calls etc. Got us back on the internet. We would highly recommend Mark for his knowledge and professionalism .He does not give up, no matter what problem he has to resolve. If he makes a promise to call he does always keep to it, if he is delayed, he will always let you know.

  2. Non Starting PC and subsequent replacement of computer

    Mark was very friendly and professional. My desktop PC was not repairable and required replacement. Mark advised me what was a suitable replacement for my needs. He then ordered a replacement which was delivered the following day. Mark then loaded all my data from the old computer onto the new one and I was up and running within 3 working days. The service given exceeded my expectations and would not hesitate to recommend Mark. A very professional and speedy service.

    I've been a customer of Mark for 14 years now and as normal he was charming, professional, knowledgeable and most affable. The work was complex and Mark did his job very patiently and effectively. In the time we have known him, I can honestly say he has become a friend, is always welcome here and is very easy to get along with.   10. Removed ad blocker which was slowing my system down and causing me delays whilst using my laptop. Also downloaded data from 2nd old laptop that no longer works. Thus saving very precious photos etc, form my old computer.

    Exceedingly pleased with the service provided by Mark. He explained what my problems were and suggested repair options, which he carried out promptly and to my entire satisfaction. I would thoroughly recommend using Mark, if you have any computer problems.

  12. Install New Solid State Drive in HP laptop

    Perhaps even more important than Mark’s expertise and efficiency at sorting PC problems, he is very friendly, open and keenly interested in our local area. As previously, Mark was very quick to respond to a call for help. He replaced an HDD with an SSD in my PC Laptop (and, unasked, cleaned the laptop of accumulated dust etc – a real bonus). Then he installed the required OS (Windows 10 Pro 64BIT). That was all that I had requested for the one-hour visit; but, given that the allotted hour had not finished, Mark quickly asked if he could do anything else that might be needed. Remembering that Windows Mail for Windows 10 had given some problems in a previous visit, Mark very soon had W Mail working properly. I had been using “Windows 7 Back Up and Restore” (up to now, an excellent program; but Mark said that he was now using other software back up/restore software. After an Internet search following Mark’s advice (please note this is a good idea as Microsoft are likely to stop supporting “Windows 7 Back Up and Restore” and *File History”). I have now downloaded the free software “Macrium Reflect 7” that seems to be ideal for my needs as a private user with occasional updating of sensitive files for a Registered Charity for whom I do regular quarterly updates.

  13. Main drive kept 'freezing'

    Prompt reply to my message. Managed to fit me in as I was in the middle of an urgent project. As always, Mark is friendly, professional and doesn't waste time or try to sell me stuff I don't need. In short, I don't know what I'd do without him as I'm disabled and don't have a car to transport my PC to be fixed.

  20. My laptop would not shut down so I was unable to use it. Mark advised me over the phone on what to do to shut it down and then start it up again. This worked perfectly, although he also said he could call the same afternoon if it didn't work.

    Very swift response to my phone message. Very helpful and following his advice got my laptop working again. Having the reassurance of a visit should it not work was much appreciated.

  22. Investigation of failure to connect to internet and any cause of slow operation in general.

    Mark thoroughly tested my laptop and established that my Broadband service was not at fault. Problems connected with PC protection and other software were diagnosed and successfully dealt with. Mark wouldn't leave until I had tested the laptop myself and was happy. I identified improved speed after the procedure and Mark advised what further action could be carried out in the future if I wished to improve it further.

  27. Sorted out Skype on my pc so persons I was skyping could hear me + set up a file back-up system which is much easier to find stored data + showed me how to store photos from e-mail to dropbox and recording them + sorted issues on my "Catchup" TV

    All the tasks done were carried out by Mark in a friendly and efficient manner. He was patient and responded to my queries in a "language"/terms I could understand.   31. E mail problems and slow running programmes

    Arrived on time as arranged and rang us to let us know he was on way. Listened to our description of problem and then checked the computer and immediately identified the fault and explained the problem in a language that anyone would understand. Carried out a repair and explained throughout what he had done and explained why and what difference it would make. He displayed a high level of patience and was not in a rush to get away. We received good advice on the need for additional storage and this was ordered whilst he was with us. We are more than happy to recommend his services, cost and character to anyone who requires a professional to deal with their computer problems.

    I have used mark for a number of years now and has always delivered. This time I had my business emails hacked where the hacker had taken control of all my emails. Mark quickly booked me in for a visit and in no time found what had happened and how the hacker had gained access. My emails are once again safe and under my control. First class service.     Contacted Mark by the link on his website and he came back to me within a few hours. He sorted the problem with the hard drive and communicated with me regularly with updates on how he was getting on. When he dropped the laptop off he connected it to the wifi and printer. Laptop is working brilliantly and I have a happy daughter. Would strongly recommend.

    Mark reinstalled Windows10 on my computer. Before I had a problem with it, now it is perfectly fine. Although my laptop had issue to connect to wi-fi, he took his time and found solution! He didn’t charge for extra time while he was findind out about wi-fi. Really greatful! Would recommend him as a really good professional in all fieds: communication, service and advice. Thank you!

    We lost connection to internet on our desktop pc. Mark was able to restore it. Mark was also able to advise us on buying a new pc and ordered it for us on line on his visit.     It's a minefield finding someone reliable to mend a computer and I'm so glad I chose Mark. His prices are very reasonable, the hourly rate is for the whole hour so if he fixes the problem before that he's more than happy to advise on other problems you might have, and he explains in plain English what's wrong and what needs to be done. He also responded quickly to my text and made an appointment that same day. Definitely the man to go if you have a problem with your computer or other devices.

  67. Mark salvaged my hard drive following failure of my laptop after a Windows 10 update.

    Mark's initial response to my call for help was within 24 hours and came out to me next day. Sadly, my laptop could not be salvaged but Mark removed the hard drive and made recommendations for a replacement including quality SSD hard drive and backup. New laptop was delivered direct to him as I couldn't be around to take delivery, he came over dead on the time arranged to set me up and make sure everything was working well.

    I was still using a very old version of Windows and eventually it crashed so instead of fixing it I asked Mark if he could help as I thought perhaps I should get something new. He brought a 'new' (to me) Acer with him and set the whole thing up in next to no time, copying over my wanted data and connecting everything up with my printer etc. I am absolutely chuffed to bits with the whole setup, and gradually getting used to Windows 10, Loving it!!     Time/Date arranged to suit me. Mark arrived on time and got stuck in straight away after confirmation of requirements. Worked through without a break and completed all tasks sooner than I expected (hence cheaper than expected). Everything was up and running / working to my complete satisfaction well within the expected time scale. When necessary, Mark kept me informed of progress and gave advice on things I needed to know about. I cannot speak too highly of mark's friendly demeanour, work ethic and dedication to getting the work done as speedily and efficiently as possible, which he did with ease. You will not find anyone better if you want this kind of work done at home and Mark is, in my opinion is the best. Cannot recommend too highly!

    Mark arrived at the agreed time. Installed and set up the new equipment. Verified internet services working. Set up two printers so that I could print wirelessly from all locations. Tidy up some unwanted and difficult to remove folders on the laptop data drive (legacy folders from an initial Vista OS). Work completed in less time than expected so cost less. Greatly impressed with the speed and efficiency of the work carried out and if I need anything IT related in the future, Mark will be my first port of call

  83. Diagnosed and replaced a faulty CMOS battery and reset the machine date / time. He also reset the machine start up, which had become corrupted.

    Mark quickly sorted out a fairly long running problem, which appeared to be caused by my internet security software.He spotted almost straight away that the machine time / date were corrupted. He was most professional and courteous in his approach and obviously very switched on.

    Mark called within 24 hours of our initial request for help and dealt with all our queries quickly and efficiently whilst checking that we fully understood the various aspects of the work he had completed.
