Company Profile

The Owen Kenny Partnership was founded over 30 years ago and is proud of its reputation for providing clear and effective legal advice to its clients both locally and nationally.

The ethos of the firm is client centered.  Our reputation matters and we aim to treat our clients and each other with respect so as to provide a happy working environment.

Residential Conveyancing:  We have a strong department which is one of the largest in the South East.  We don't pay referral fees and our clients are recommended to us by other happy clients and local estate agents.  We also do not charge our clients for our legal services if the matter becomes aborted and will give a fixed fee at the outset with no hidden extras.

Commercial Property: An experienced team with a thorough grounding in the law.  Excellent working relationship with a number of developers both nationally and locally.  We cover Commercial property sales and purchases, business leases for offices, shops, factories, warehouses, restaurants, licensed premises and hotels, business lease renewals, rent reviews. development and construction advice.

Private Client:  Our department is known for its specialist care for the elderly, regularly taking part in Will Aid, fundraising for St Wilfrid's Hospice and Chestnut Tree House through provision of free Wills in exchange for donations.  All of our lawyers are members of Solicitors for the Elderly and we are happy to provide talks to local care homes and organisations without charge.  When dealing with probate we will not charge a percentage of the estate and act purely on an hourly basis with either a fixed fee at the outset or an estimate in writing.

Litigation:  The team provide a comprehensive package aimed at helping local businesses recover debts in a cost effective manner, often able to provide a no-win, no-fee solution.  We are on hand to provide advice and legal representation and have very good working relationships with the local courts and barristers.

Family Work: The team are all fully trained members of Resolution, committed to working with our clients to provide out of court settlement wherever possible.  They are also experienced advocates and are able to provide representation at all levels of court.  They receive regular referrals from the local judges and are known for common sense, practical advice.  We are also able to offer family mediation services.  A number of our cases have resulted in changes to the law and cited cases can be seen on our website.

We actively seek out opportunities to invest back into our local community providing sponsorship for a number of local clubs and schools as well as donating to local charities and fundraising events.

  4. Dealt with a contentious individual hounding our volunteers

Paul took away all the worries and personal concerns for safety of our volunteers and family by being firm and decisive with this one individual. It was a huge relief to receive his advice and know that he would handle this until the situation was resolved. There is no doubt it could have escalated without his intervention.
