  4. Property valuation

    Very professional people, came exactly as agreed and were informative. Valuation sent by email was instant. We didn't managed to exchange contracts within 3 months as housing delayed their paperwork and they asked for revaluation. Mayfords's action was instant and new desktop valuation done within 3 days, again brilliant service and reasonable prices.

  10. Defects survey

    I was somewhat dubious about the positive feedback various surveyors had received on this website and was keen to find someone with sufficient experience to undertake a defects inspection for me. I therefore took it upon myself to call up the various surveyors from whom I had received quotes from. What stood out for me a mile off, was just how knowledgeable Chloe was. When I contacted her, I expected to be put through to a call centre or a member of the admin staff but was pleasantly surprised to speak to her directly. During that conversation she highlighted the typical issues I may expect to find with the defects report on the various issues I had mentioned. None of the other surveying companies I spoke to were able to have this type of conversation with me. During this whole process she has been on hand to answer any questions we have had including having a 1.5 hour call with me following the production of the detailed defects survey to address all of my questions. The provision of such a personable service by Chloe really helped to lay any fears I had.

  11. Full building survey

    We were under enormous pressure to leave our existing property and therefore the survey of our new property was very urgent. We was recommended by a family member as they've been impressed by their speed, accuracy and super service. It was so simple to arrange the survey, after a compel of days I emailed Robin requesting a status update on the survey and was pleasantly surprised that the survey had been completed the previous day and a copy would be with us the following day. Sure enough the survey arrived the following day as robin had promised. The survey was thorough, professional and written in plain English. I then called the beaconsfield office and spoke to Chloe who was able to go through the report in stages to be on minor defects that was flagged within the report. I would highly recommend Mayfords to all family and friends. Thanks again

    Mayfords Chartered Surveyors are a highly reputable and reliable firm. They did a full home buyers report in one week from me requesting one which was very quick considering I shopped around and other companies offered 2-3 weeks. Also they cheaper than the other companies. The survey was done to a high standard and was extremely pleased with the survey and valuation.Dealing with Peter was a real pleasure. His communication and handling of liaison with my vendor was smooth and timely. The report received was reassuring and thorough and I would recommend Mayfords to anyone who has the option to pick their own surveyor. I shall be recommending his services to anyone whom I know to be in need of a surveyor and will use him again if I should need to. Peter the owner is very helpful, polite and friendly and is contactable if needed. I received the home buyers report in 3 days. Many thanks!

    I found Mayfords Surveyors excellent. The survey was done quickly and thoroughly and Peter was extremely helpful in going through the survey over the phone. Even weeks afterwards he was happy to spend large amounts of time going through more details with us on the phone. The survey itself was also excellent, being a cautious type I had some family friends in the trade look over it (1 building contractor and 2 engineers) and they were highly impressed by the quality and thoroughness of the survey. I wholeheartedly recommend this firm.

    We have used Mayfords three times and on each occasion their service has been very, very good. First, Mayfords has always been very quick to respond to requests and very quick to set up appointments and produce the final reports. Second, the reports have always been very thorough and accurate. In our current flat, the problems we had with our current flat had been flagged as risks in the survey. Third, perhaps most importantly, Mayfords has been very approachable after the reports had been sent to us. This over-the-phone advice has been incredibly valuable to us and helped us to gauge risks and make the right decisions. Overall, we will definitely use Mayfords again in future.
